The 13th Annual Korean Music Festival was really great this year! The only downer was that press wasn’t allowed to film the event this year, so we can’t share any kickass video with you all…but we hope that these photos will suffice! ^_^
Some of the stand out acts we noticed this year were classical crossover artist, Im Tae Kyung, rockers Guckkasten, BtoB, and Beast. Haha was a very funny host, even though we couldn’t understand most of what he said! He kept us engaged and excited for every artist!
When Im Tae Kyung came out and started singing, we were blown away! He delivered a flawless performance and left the audience screaming for more! Gukkasten was epic…Daniela likened them to the popular English band, Muse, since they took full advantage of lead singer Ha Hyun Woo’s awesome vocal ability. BtoB and Beast were wonderful as well! They were cute and provided some adorable fan-service, playing with the crowd and engaging in aegyo.
If you’ve never been to the Korea Times Korean Music Festival and you like Korean music, you should make it a point to see it at least once. Even if you’re already an avid Kpop fan, like us, it’s great to step out of that zone and hear all the other genres and artists Korea has to offer. Plus, and this is a big plus, onlookers are free to bring their own beverages and food! Yay!!
